Yeshim OzHello All,
As you might know, UNO and UNMC switched to UMR for their employees. Does UMR operate under UHC? and does anybody know
if their fee schedule is similar to UHC, which is quite low for masters level therapist?
I appreciate your response.
Thank you.

TJ GormanUMR panels separately from UHC though it is under UHC. Coeur Group providers are all Tier 1 providers with UHC as we
panel through Methodist. Methodist has UMR also.

Karen BaumstarkSome people from the med center are asking for and getting a 6 month grace period for their providers to be paid as if
in-network, even tho they aren’t in-network, and I believe they aren’t having to write off the part of their fee that is
beyond the allowable. Not sure how this is working but this is what I have heard from others. So if you have a client from
last year whose insurance changed from BCBS to UMR, you might see if they can ask for that grace period (4 months of it
left).

Gail A. OlsonThanks for that info! Do you know who the patient contacts regarding this? I have several former Blue Cross patients who are now UMR, so if I could tell them who they should contact that would be great! Even the few months left would be very helpful to them!

MemberI am on the UMR panel as are those in my practice. We contracted with Methodist Health partners and are Tier I for Methodist and for Nebraska Medicine we are Tier II. I believe only if you work at Nebraska Medicine that you would be a Tier I provider. To my understanding UMR is a United Health Care product that the hospitals created for their employees. There are 3 of us that are contracted with UBH and because of that accept UMR insurance.
