Happy Monday! Does anyone know of any upcoming ethics refresher/trainings? PESI has one they are hosting locally but I don’t really want to spend $200 for 3 ethics CEU’s.

The APPT training in April, A Quest for Competency & Queer Affirming Care, will provide a total of 4 CEU’s, with 1 CEU applied as Ethics. We are looking at more trainings for later this year as well.

I have taken the 3 hr ethics course online each renewal period and they are informative, NBCC certified, and very inexpensive (less than $50). I take many of my online courses from either of these:
NetCE (Ethics for Counselors) or
Elite Learning (Ethical Practice for Professional Counseling).
Just go to their website(s) and they will show you the courses they offer and prices. Since they are NBCC certified, they qualify for both LADC and LIMHP/LMHPs. I really like the online learning ease of use. Good courses as well! I utilize their courses all the time!

I am offering Ethical Issues in Counseling Webinars on Thursday, April 16 from 5-7 p.m., and Friday, April 17 from 10-noon and 2-4 p.m. They are approved for 2 CE because they are live and interactive. You can register at http://www.balanced-life.us/register/ethical-issues-in-counseling-live-webinar or you can contact me for more information. I just did one at the end of March, too.
