Parenting Strong-Willed Kids in a Pandemic
Presented by Danielle Bettmann
Parenting is hard! Parenting in a pandemic with strong-willed kids requires sanity, strategies and support. In this presentation parenting coach Danielle Bettmann will dive into rewiring your parenting mindset, equipping you as the therapist (or parent) with perspective and tools that work…and a whole lot more patience!
In this training participants will learn:
How to set kind and firm boundaries with a strong-willed child
5 Mindset shifts therapists can help parents make to cultivate cooperation
What sets a strong-willed child apart and why rewards, punishments and bribes don’t work
Therapists…please note that your clients are welcome to sign up and join! Encourage your clients that have a strong-willed child (who doesn’t have one?!!!) that needs extra support and help.
Danielle Bettmann is an entrepreneur, parenting coach and podcaster. She is the owner of Wholeheartedly, LLC and Failing Motherhood Podcast. Danielle left the classroom to home visit because “what happens at home is what wires kids.” Parents are doing the most influential work, while feeling exhausted with no training. Danielle created Wholeheartedly to come alongside parents by cheering them on, celebrating their wins and encouraging them to always remember the worth of their work. Danielle is a teacher by trade and a coach by strengths. Her passion is to educate, equip and encourage parents to understand the needs of their kids, build a strong connected relationship, get on the same page as their partner and parent confidently and effectively. Parenting is the hardest job in the world! Danielle feels when she can give parents new tools they become the parent they want to be and their children thrive because they feel understood.
