Strategies to Use Social Media as an Opportunity for Psychoeducation in a Therapeutic Setting
Rebecca J. Ristow, LIMHP
This presentation aims to incorporate information presented on social media phone applications as an opportunity for psychoeducation in the therapeutic setting. The first portion of the presentation will review criteria for anxiety-related disorders and mood-related disorders. The second portion of the presentation will develop strategies to use information a client may bring from a social media application as an opportunity for psychoeducation and clarification on symptom presentation. Please bring your copy of the DSM-V to the presentation for review of criteria and add to the presentation activity.
