Celine Monif is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) in Nebraska and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. Celine has 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals as well as the American Counseling Association. Celine has worked for agencies such as Heartland Family Services and Boys Town, gaining valuable experience with a variety of populations. She works with adults, couples, older adolescents, and families. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, couple counseling, family dynamics, and individual empowerment.
Celine believes therapy doesn’t have to be formal or tedious. She wants her clients to feel comfortable and truly invested in the therapeutic process. Humor and creativity is encouraged just as much as dialogue and participation.
Celine grew up in Bellevue and Omaha. She attended Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha for her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Bellevue University.
Celine utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy in addition to other modalities to adapt to the needs and personalities of her clients. She is a Certified Family Trauma Professional with additional training in areas such as the Gottman principles for couples and counseling first responders. She is a nationally certified counselor (NCC).
